Overview of Samsung flagship tablets
Samsung has officially launched its latest flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. These devices are designed for both productivity and entertainment, featuring 120 Hz AMOLED screens that should deliver clear visuals and smooth scrolling. The performance is powered by the Dimensity 9500 chip, which is positioned to handle demanding tasks, whether it’s gaming or multitasking with heavy apps.
Pricing for the Galaxy Tab S12 series starts from around $1,199, but Indian prices have been officially revealed: the Tab S12 Ultra will cost a premium amount, and the Tab S12+ is priced at a notable figure. Given the hefty price tags, these tablets are tailored for premium users—creators, professionals, and gamers who can leverage the high refresh rate and powerful internals.
One critical factor for Indian users to consider is software updates. Samsung has committed to providing up to seven years of updates for these tablets, which could make them a more appealing long-term investment. This extended support might help justify the cost for those looking to keep their devices up-to-date for years to come.
However, potential buyers should be cautious. Performance benchmarks and independent reviews have yet to emerge, so we don’t know how the Dimensity 9500 stacks up against competing chips, particularly in real-world scenarios. Battery life and heat management, especially during strenuous tasks in India’s hot summers, are still unconfirmed details.
Before making a purchase, consider your specific use cases. If you’re a student or a casual user, you might find these tablets too much. But for professionals or serious gamers, the advantages could be worth it.

Specifications of Samsung flagship tablets
Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+, and they’re packed with strong specs that target both power users and casual consumers. Both models feature 120 Hz AMOLED screens, which should provide clear visuals and smooth scrolling—great for those who consume media or game on their tablets. This refresh rate is a big upgrade for those used to lower-refresh displays, enhancing everyday usability, especially during gaming or while watching high-motion content.
Under the hood, both tablets are powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset, a good option for multitasking and handling demanding applications. The performance should appeal to creators and professionals who rely on apps like Photoshop, which comes pre-installed with these devices. However, it’s important to see how the Dimensity 9500 stacks up against competing chips in real-world usage; independent reviews will help clarify this.
The design of the Tab S12 series is ultra-thin, which makes it easier to carry—ideal for those who want to take their work or entertainment on the go. Yet, thinner designs can sometimes compromise battery life. Samsung claims up to seven years of software updates, an attractive feature for buyers concerned about longevity. It’s a promise that could influence buyers looking for a device that lasts but will require Samsung’s commitment and execution to truly matter long-term.
In India, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is priced competitively, while the Tab S12+ has an expected starting price in a similar range. Availability through Amazon.in and Flipkart should be monitored closely, as launch periods often see fluctuating stock levels.
Watch for reviews focusing on battery performance and how the tablets handle demanding tasks, especially in the Indian summer heat.

Pricing and availability of Samsung flagship tablets in India
Samsung has officially revealed the pricing and availability details for its new flagship tablets in India, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at a premium price point, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ is also positioned in the higher range. These tablets are equipped with 120 Hz AMOLED screens and powered by the Dimensity 9500 chip, which should provide solid performance for tasks ranging from gaming to creative work.
You can expect to find these tablets on major e-commerce platforms like Amazon.in and Flipkart, as well as at local electronics retailers. Pre-orders may include additional incentives, such as bundled accessories or discounts on Samsung services, so it’s worth checking the options. Users keen on leveraging creative software will appreciate that Photoshop comes pre-installed on these devices, which could appeal to graphic designers and content creators.
Given India’s hot summers, consider how much you’ll be using these devices outdoors. Their AMOLED screens can shine in bright environments, but excessive heat can throttle performance and impact battery life, especially during lengthy use. Make sure to read reviews once they hit the market to gauge how they handle these conditions.
One thing to keep an eye on is updates. Samsung promises seven years of software updates, which is quite attractive for long-term users. However, keep an eye on user feedback after the launch to confirm if this commitment translates into real-world performance. For those looking for high-end tablets with strong longevity, these might be worth considering—but the actual experience remains to be validated by early adopters.
