| | , , , ,

DuckDuck Go is a privacy-centric search engine which is recommended by many cybersecurity experts but recently a lot of Jio and Airtel several users over the Internet pointed out that they were unable to access DuckDuck Go on their PCs and smartphones via Airtel and Reliance Jio mobile networks, also the block is reported on Airtel broadband connections too.

The US-based DuckDuckGo seems to be blocked days after the government banned 59 Chinese apps in India. The government had said the apps posed a risk to India’s security and were prejudicial to the country’s sovereignty and integrity.

The Indian Government has not clarified yet the reasons for blocking DuckDuckGo in India and same goes with the telecom operators like Jio and Airtel, they haven’t been responded too, but on the other hand

DuckDuckGo has acknowledged the issue and said that the disruption was not from their side and they also said that they are working with ISPs to understand why it is not accessible.
