All You Need to Know About Honor 9A, 9S and Magicbook 15

Honor has launched it’s brand new smartphones “Honor 9A” and “Honor 9S” along with their first laptop in India “Honor MagicBook 15”

Honor 9A Full Specifications

The Honor 9A comes with a 6.3-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) IPS LCD display which is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone also supports further expansion of the storage up to 512GB via a microSD.

Talking about the camera department, the Honor 9A has a triple rear camera setup that comprises a 13-megapixel primary sensor, 5-megapixel secondary wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary dept sensor. There is also an 8-megapixel camera at the front for selfies and video calls.

The Honor 9A has a 5,000mAh battery which is charged via a micro USB port and it weighs 185 grams and it is 9.0 mm thick, the phone has a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone.

The Honor 9A comes in only one RAM and storage variant which is 3GB + 64 GB and it comes in 2 colours which are Phantom Blue and Midnight Black.

The Honor 9A supports Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1 on top of it but because of the US ban the phone does not comes with any Google app support which means there is no Google Play Store or Google Play Services, but Honor has its own App Gallery for downloading apps and games, Honor also claims that their App Gallery is world’s 3rd largest App Store.

The Honor 9A is priced at ₹9,999 but Honor said that it will be available at ₹8,999 on special sale. It will go on sale starting 6 August at 11 am on Amazon.

Honor 9S Full Specifications

The Honor 9S comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1,400 pixels) IPS LCD display and it is powered by a MediaTek MT6762R SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.

In terms of optics, The Honor 9S has a single, 8-megapixel camera sensor at the back, along with an f/2.0 lens. There is also a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.2 lens.

The Honor 9S does not have fingerprint scanner but it uses the 5-megapixel front camera for face unlock, it comes in two colour options which are “Youth Centric Blue” and “Classic Black”

The Honor 9S has a 3,020mAh battery which is charged via micro USB port, it runs on Android 10 with the Magic UI on top of it, and due to the US ban the phone does not comes with Google services, but Honor has it’s App Gallery for downloading apps and games.

The Honor 9S comes at a price tag of ₹6,499 but Honor said that it will be available at ₹5,999 on special sale. It will go on sale starting 6 August at 12 pm on Flipkart.

Honor Magicbook 15 Full Specifications

The Honor MagicBook 15 comes with a 15.6-inch FullView Display and it is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U CPU and Radeon Vega 8 GPU, along with 8GB of DDR4 dual-channel RAM and 256GB of SSD storage.

Honor MagicBook 15 comes with a pop-up webcam for privacy reasons which is embedded in the keyboard and comes out only when you need it.

The Honor Magicbook 15 has a fingerprint sensor on the right side of the keyboard which also doubles up as a power button, the laptop comes with a 65 W fast USB type-C charger which can also be used for charging other smartphones and devices. The Honor MagicBook 15 comes with a 45W battery which the company claims can run for 6.5 hours on a single charge

On the part of ports, the Honor Magicbook 15 has USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the software side, the laptop comes with windows 10 pre-installed and it comes with Honor MagicLink 2.0 that will seamlessly let users transfer stuff from their smartphone to the laptop.

The Honor MagicBook 15  has been launched at ₹42,990, but Honor has announced a special price for the laptop at ₹39,990. The laptop will be available for purchase starting 6th August on Flipkart.
