Jio has launched it’s video conferencing app called “Jio meet” to compete with “Zoom”, almost everyone one is working from home these days due to the COVID-19 pandemic and because of this, “zoom” has gained a huge amount of popularity among working-class citizens and to compete with Zoom Mukesh Ambani’s telecom company Jio has launched its video conferencing app, entering in the market against Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and other popular video conferencing tools. The app is already available on Google Play and the App Store.
Jio Meet Features –
Jio meet supports direct calling and hosting meetings with up to 100 participants. As per Reliance Jio, the app offers enterprise-grade host controls. You can sign up with your phone number or email ID, and the meetings support HD quality. The app is free to use and you can create unlimited meetings per day, and the meetings can also be password protected if you want for security purposes and it also supports a waiting room similar to Zoom.
The app supports multi-device login on up to five devices, and you can seamlessly switch between devices while on a call. There is also a feature called Safe Driving Mode, as well as standard features like screen sharing.
Overall the in the app looks and feel exactly like any other app and while testing the app our team didn’t find any major problems and it will be interesting to see how it compares with its other competitors in the market
