The Nothing Phone (1), will shortly receive its first Android 13 beta upgrade. Nothing CEO and co-founder Carl Pei teased Nothing OS 1.5.0, likely based on Android 13, on Twitter, along with an imminent beta for Nothing Phone (1).

In the tweet, included a screenshot of the Nothing Phone (1)’s device settings from the About section.

The Nothing CEO revealed little other information, but did state that the business intends to have a public beta for Android 13 on the Nothing Phone (1).

Nothing team revealed that the upgrade for the Nothing Phone (1) will not be available until 2023. When asked about the release date on Twitter, Pei initially remained silent.

In response to criticism, he later admitted that the company will seed the first beta build before the end of the year, with the stable upgrade arriving early next year.

The display of the Nothing Phone (1) is a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Its distinctive Glyph interface with thousands of LED notification lights on its back panel is its selling point.

The smartphone features twin rear cameras with OIS and EIS image stabilization. It has a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor/1.88 primary sensor as well as a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor/2.2 ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor/2.45 camera.

The Nothing Phone (1) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor with an Adreno 642L GPU for graphics. It has up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone has a 4,500mAh battery with 33W rapid charging and 15W Qi wireless charging compatibility.
